Steve Wallace is our August "Meet the Dealers" dealer!  Steve began in the business by opening a space at Antiques on Central (formerly known an The Antique Gallery) on      April 1, 2001, after being laid off from Honeywell Aerospace as a staff photographer.  I have always had an interest in antiques & fine art and previous to this sold direct to other dealers, and had a short stay at a store in Glendale & a consignment shop in Central Phoenix.  I believe the roots of my eventual interest in antiques, art, and showcasing beautiful objects began in Mr. Wrentzle’s  Rock shop in Columbus (Whitehall), Ohio, where I would spend allowance money on Saturday mornings collecting rocks & minerals that he displayed in great looking oak showcases.  I was just a kid touched by beauty.  My goal has always been to have one of the nicest spots in Central Phoenix to buy very decent art, well executed, whether by a known artist, or unsigned, and to have a variety of styles and mediums from which to choose.  Prices are always negotiable and I love working up package deals for those that might be interested in several pieces.  Thank you for stopping by.

Antiques on Central is excited to begin a series of posts called "Meet the Dealers". The first in our series is Dorothy Flood! Dorothy has been a dealer at Antiques on Central since 1990, specializing in porcelains, art, sterling, and various fineries. She was recently featured in this wonderful article by North Central News. Congratulations, Dorothy!
